Food & Agriculture · Case study

Bringing an ingredient company’s story to life before, during, and after the show.

We helped Western Foods bring its products, capabilities, and story to life before the event, on the trade-show floor, and inside the conversations that move opportunities forward.

Western Foods
Who they serve
Commercial buyers, R&D and product development teams, and co-manufacturers evaluating ingredient partners.
Who they are

Western Foods mills and blends rice flours, gluten-free ingredients, pulses, ancient grains, and inclusions for commercial food manufacturers, with operations in Arkansas and California.

The opportunity

Ingredient capability is technical and easy to flatten into a spec sheet. Buyers meet the brand in three very different places — a feed, a trade-show aisle, and a sales meeting — and those places rarely tell the same story.

What Matmon recognized

The event was not the campaign. The event was the middle of a campaign that had to start weeks earlier and continue inside the sales conversation afterward.

What we created and improved

  • Trade-show booth design built for how buyers actually move through an aisle
  • Pre-show social campaigns and email marketing built around IFT FIRST and Expo West
  • Event photography and on-site participation by the Matmon team
  • Product and ingredient storytelling: applications, capabilities, certifications
  • An interactive sales presentation replacing a traditional linear slide deck
  • Brand and website work supporting the same story online

How the work reached its audience

Buyers encountered a consistent story in their feed, at the booth, and in the room — which is what makes a follow-up conversation feel like a continuation instead of a restart.

05 / The complete experience

Before the event, on the floor, and inside the conversation.

Before

Pre-show campaigns

Social and email built around IFT FIRST and Expo West, aimed at buyers who would be in the building.

During

Booth and presence

Booth design built for how buyers move through an aisle — plus a Matmon team on site, listening.

After

Interactive presentation

A buyer-led experience covering categories, applications, capabilities, and certifications on demand.

The strongest sales conversations begin long before someone sits down with a presentation. They begin when every part of the brand experience works together.

07 / Results

Only what we can verify.

Where numerical outcomes are documented and the client has approved sharing them, they appear here with the source and time period. Where they are not, we describe the improvements without inventing metrics or claiming sales results we cannot attribute.
